Are all tools on RapidTool completely free?+
Yes. Every single tool on RapidTool is 100% free with no hidden charges, no premium plans and no feature locks. All 80+ tools are available to everyone without any payment, subscription or credit card.
Do I need to create an account or sign up?+
No. You never need to sign up, create an account or provide your email address to use any tool on RapidTool. Just open any tool and start using it immediately — no registration required.
Which browsers are supported?+
RapidTool works on all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge and Opera. We recommend using the latest version of Chrome or Firefox for the best experience. Internet Explorer is not supported.
Can I use RapidTool on my mobile phone or tablet?+
Yes. RapidTool is fully responsive and works on all smartphones and tablets including iPhone, Android phones and iPads. All tools are optimized for touch screens and small displays. Some complex tools like the PDF Merger or Code editors work better on a desktop for a larger workspace.
Do the tools work without an internet connection?+
Most tools work entirely in your browser and only need the internet to initially load the page. Once the page is loaded, tools like calculators, text tools, converters and most image/PDF tools can work without an active connection. Tools that fetch live data (like Currency Converter or IP Lookup) require an internet connection to function.
Is there a file size limit for uploads?+
File size limits vary per tool. Most image tools support files up to 20MB. PDF tools generally handle files up to 50MB. Since all processing happens in your browser, very large files may be slow to process on lower-end devices. For best results, use files under 10MB.
How many times can I use the tools per day?+
There is no daily usage limit. You can use any tool as many times as you want, every day, completely free. There are no rate limits, quotas or cooldown periods.
Will tools work if JavaScript is disabled?+
No. RapidTool tools are built with JavaScript and require it to be enabled in your browser. All modern browsers have JavaScript enabled by default. If a tool isn't loading, check that JavaScript is enabled in your browser settings.
Can I suggest a new tool to be added?+
We are always expanding our tool library. We regularly add new tools based on user needs and popular search trends. Keep checking back at
rapidtool.online for new tools added regularly.
Are there watermarks on downloaded files?+
No watermarks ever. All files you download from RapidTool are completely clean with no branding, watermarks or attribution required. Your output files are ready to use professionally for any purpose.
Is my data safe when using RapidTool?+
Yes. The vast majority of RapidTool's tools process everything directly in your browser using JavaScript. Your files, documents and text never leave your device and are never uploaded to any server. We cannot see, access or store your data.
Which tools send data to external servers?+
Only a small number of tools require external API calls: Currency Converter fetches live exchange rates, IP Address Lookup queries a geolocation API, DNS Lookup / WHOIS / SSL / HTTP Header Checker query domain information. These tools only send the specific input you provide (a URL or IP address) — never your personal files.
Do you store the files I upload?+
No. Your uploaded files are processed entirely within your browser's memory using JavaScript. They are never sent to any server, never stored in any database and are automatically cleared from memory when you close or refresh the page.
Do you use cookies or track my activity?+
RapidTool uses minimal, privacy-friendly tracking. We collect anonymous visit data (page visited, country, device type, browser) to understand how our tools are used and improve them. We do not collect personal information, names, email addresses or file contents. We use localStorage only to save your theme preference (dark/light mode).
Is it safe to use RapidTool for confidential documents?+
Yes. Since files are processed locally in your browser and never uploaded to a server, RapidTool is safe for confidential documents. However, for highly sensitive legal, medical or financial documents, always verify by checking your browser's network activity (DevTools → Network tab) to confirm no data is being transmitted.
Does RapidTool show ads?+
RapidTool may display advertisements to support the free service. All tools remain completely free and fully functional regardless of ads. Ads never interfere with tool functionality or your downloaded files.
Can I convert a scanned PDF to editable text?+
Our PDF to Text tool extracts text from PDFs that have an embedded text layer. For scanned PDFs (image-based), you can use our Image to Text (OCR) tool by first converting PDF pages to images using our PDF to JPG tool, then running OCR on the resulting images.
Why does my PDF look different after compression?+
PDF compression reduces file size by optimizing images and removing redundant data. At higher compression levels, image quality inside the PDF may be slightly reduced. For professional print documents, use Low compression. For sharing digitally or emailing, Medium or High compression is fine and the visual difference is minimal on screen.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?+
Password-protected PDFs cannot be merged, split or modified without first removing the password protection. You will need to unlock the PDF using the password in a PDF editor like Adobe Acrobat before using our PDF Merger tool.
What is the difference between PDF Splitter and PDF Page Extractor?+
PDF Splitter divides your PDF into multiple separate files by page ranges (e.g. pages 1-5 into one file, pages 6-10 into another). PDF Page Extractor lets you select specific individual pages and extract them into a single new PDF. Use Splitter for dividing documents into sections and Extractor for picking specific pages.
How many PDFs can I merge at once?+
There is no strict limit on the number of PDFs you can merge. However, merging many large PDFs simultaneously may be slow on lower-end devices since all processing happens in your browser. For best performance, merge batches of 5-10 PDFs at a time if working with large files.
Can I convert a Word document to PDF using RapidTool?+
Currently RapidTool does not offer a Word to PDF converter. However, you can convert Word to PDF for free using Microsoft Word (File → Save As → PDF), Google Docs (File → Download → PDF), or your browser's Print function (Print → Save as PDF).
Why is my PDF to JPG conversion low quality?+
PDF to JPG quality depends on the original PDF's resolution and the rendering settings. Our tool renders at a standard resolution suitable for most uses. If you need very high resolution output (for printing), consider using Adobe Acrobat or a desktop application that allows custom DPI settings.
Can I add page numbers to specific pages only?+
Our Add Page Numbers to PDF tool currently adds page numbers to all pages. You can customize the starting number, position (6 positions available), font size, color and format (1, Page 1, 1/10 etc.). The ability to skip specific pages (like cover pages) is a feature we plan to add in future updates.
Why is the background remover not working on my image?+
The local background removal works best on images with a
solid or near-solid background (white, light gray, single colour). For complex images with hair, fur, transparent objects or varied backgrounds, use the
remove.bg API mode which uses AI for professional results. Get a free API key at
remove.bg/api.
What image formats are supported?+
Most RapidTool image tools support JPG, JPEG, PNG, WEBP, BMP and GIF. SVG is supported in the SVG to PNG converter. The output format depends on the tool — for example, Background Remover always outputs PNG to preserve transparency.
Will image compression reduce quality noticeably?+
Our Image Compressor uses smart compression that significantly reduces file size with minimal visible quality loss. At 80-90% quality settings, most people cannot tell the difference between the original and compressed image. The tool shows you a side-by-side size comparison before you download.
Can I convert PNG to JPG without losing transparency?+
JPG format does not support transparency. When converting a transparent PNG to JPG, the transparent areas are filled with a white background by default. If you need to preserve transparency, keep your image in PNG or WEBP format instead of converting to JPG.
What is the maximum image size I can process?+
There is no hard file size limit, but very large images (over 20MB or larger than 8000×8000 pixels) may cause slow processing or browser memory issues. For very high resolution images, we recommend processing them in batches or using desktop software like GIMP or Photoshop.
How accurate is the OCR (Image to Text) tool?+
OCR accuracy depends heavily on image quality. For clear, high-resolution printed text on a clean background, accuracy is typically 90-99%. For handwriting, low-resolution images, stylized fonts or text at an angle, accuracy decreases. The confidence score shown after extraction indicates how reliable the result is. A score above 80% is excellent.
Can I create a GIF from a video?+
Our GIF Maker creates GIFs from multiple still images. To create a GIF from a video, first extract frames using VLC (Tools → Snapshot) or a screen recording tool, save individual frames as images, then upload them to our GIF Maker to assemble the animated GIF.
Why is my SVG to PNG conversion blurry?+
Blurriness usually means the output resolution is too low. Increase the Scale factor (use 2× for standard screens, 3× for Retina/HiDPI displays) or set a larger pixel width in the Width field. SVG is a vector format so you can export at any size without the original being blurry — the higher the output size, the sharper the PNG.
How accurate are the financial calculators?+
Our financial calculators (EMI, SIP, SWP, Lump Sum) use standard mathematical formulas used by banks and financial institutions. Results are accurate for planning and estimation purposes. However, actual amounts may vary slightly due to bank-specific policies, processing fees and rounding. Always verify with your bank or financial advisor before making financial decisions.
Are the currency exchange rates real-time?+
Yes. Our Currency Converter fetches live exchange rates from a real-time API. Rates are updated frequently throughout the day. However, for actual financial transactions, always check your bank's official rates as they may differ slightly from interbank rates shown here.
Which countries are supported in the Salary Tax Estimator?+
The Salary Tax Estimator currently supports India, USA, UK, Canada and Australia. Tax calculations are based on standard tax slabs for the current financial year. Tax laws change annually — the tool provides estimates for general planning. Consult a tax professional for precise tax filing.
What is the difference between EMI Calculator and Loan EMI Calculator?+
Both calculate EMIs (Equated Monthly Instalments) using the same formula. The Loan EMI Calculator has preset loan types (home, car, personal, education) and visual charts. The EMI Calculator is a simpler, faster version for quick calculations. Both give the same result for the same inputs.
How is GST calculated for different tax slabs?+
Our GST/VAT Calculator supports multiple rate presets: 5%, 12%, 18% and 28% (standard Indian GST slabs) plus custom rates. It shows both the GST amount and the final price including tax. For Indian users, it also shows the CGST + SGST breakdown (each being half the total GST rate).
Can I calculate age in a specific timezone?+
The Age Calculator uses your device's local time and date for calculations. Since age is typically calculated based on calendar dates rather than exact times, timezone differences rarely affect the result unless you were born very close to midnight. The Timezone Converter tool can help you check times across different zones.
Is the Hash Generator secure enough for password hashing?+
Our Hash Generator is suitable for checksums, file verification and data integrity checks. For password hashing in applications, always use dedicated password hashing algorithms like bcrypt, Argon2 or scrypt — not MD5 or SHA-256, which are too fast and vulnerable to brute force attacks. Use this tool for learning, comparison and non-security-critical applications.
Which SQL dialects does the SQL Formatter support?+
The SQL Formatter supports Standard SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, MS SQL Server and Oracle. Select your dialect from the dropdown to get dialect-appropriate formatting and keyword highlighting.
Can I test regex patterns with multiple flags?+
Yes. The Regex Tester supports all JavaScript regex flags: g (global), i (case insensitive), m (multiline), s (dotAll) and u (unicode). You can combine multiple flags. The tool shows all matches highlighted in real-time as you type your pattern.
Can I use the JWT Decoder with tokens from any platform?+
Yes. The JWT Decoder works with any standard JWT token regardless of the platform that issued it (Firebase, Auth0, custom servers etc.). It decodes the header, payload and signature parts and displays all claims including expiry time. Note: it decodes only — it does not verify the signature since that requires the secret key.
Does the CSS/JS Minifier support ES6+ JavaScript?+
Yes. The CSS/JS Minifier handles modern JavaScript including ES6+ syntax such as arrow functions, template literals, destructuring, spread operators and import/export statements. It removes whitespace, comments and unnecessary characters while preserving the functionality of your code.
What is the difference between binary and hexadecimal conversion?+
Binary (base-2) uses only 0 and 1. Hexadecimal (base-16) uses 0-9 and A-F. Hex is a compact way to represent binary — 4 binary digits equal 1 hex digit. For example, binary 11111111 = hex FF = decimal 255. Our Binary Hex Converter handles all conversions between binary, hexadecimal, decimal and octal.
Is there a character limit for the Word Counter?+
There is no strict character limit. The Word Counter can handle very large texts including entire books or long documents. However, pasting extremely large amounts of text (millions of characters) may slow down your browser temporarily as it processes the content in real-time.
Can the QR Code Generator create QR codes for WhatsApp?+
Yes. To create a WhatsApp QR code, select URL type and enter: https://wa.me/YOURNUMBER (replace YOURNUMBER with the full phone number including country code, e.g. https://wa.me/919876543210 for an Indian number). Scanning this QR code opens a WhatsApp chat directly.
What is Base64 encoding used for?+
Base64 encoding converts binary data into a text string that can be safely transmitted over text-based systems. Common uses include: embedding images in HTML/CSS (as data URIs), sending binary data in JSON APIs, storing binary content in databases that only support text, and encoding email attachments. It is encoding, not encryption — it does not secure your data.
Does the Password Generator store my generated passwords?+
No. Generated passwords exist only in your browser's memory and are never sent to any server or stored anywhere. Once you navigate away from the page, the generated passwords are gone. Always copy and store your passwords in a trusted password manager immediately after generating them.
Can I use the Text to Speech tool to download audio?+
Yes. The Text to Speech tool uses your browser's built-in Web Speech API to convert text to audio. You can listen directly in the browser and download the audio as a file. Available voices depend on the voices installed on your operating system and browser.
What Markdown syntax does the Markdown to HTML tool support?+
The Markdown to HTML converter supports standard Markdown syntax including headings (# H1 to ###### H6), bold (**text**), italic (*text*), links, images, code blocks (``` ``` ```), blockquotes, ordered and unordered lists, horizontal rules and tables. It provides a live preview as you type.
Do meta tags generated by RapidTool guarantee better Google rankings?+
Meta tags are one important factor in SEO but do not guarantee rankings on their own. Well-written title tags and meta descriptions help Google understand your page and improve click-through rates in search results. Rankings are determined by hundreds of factors including content quality, backlinks, page speed and user experience.
How do I use the generated sitemap on my website?+
After generating your sitemap: 1) Download the XML file. 2) Upload it to your website's root directory (e.g. yoursite.com/sitemap.xml). 3) Add the sitemap URL to your robots.txt file: Sitemap: https://yoursite.com/sitemap.xml. 4) Submit the sitemap URL in Google Search Console under Sitemaps section.
What is a good keyword density percentage?+
SEO experts generally recommend a keyword density of 1% to 2% for your primary keyword. Below 0.5% may indicate the topic isn't covered well. Above 3% may look like keyword stuffing to Google. However, modern SEO focuses more on natural language and topic coverage than exact keyword density percentages.
What readability score should I aim for?+
It depends on your audience. For general web content, aim for a Flesch-Kincaid Reading Ease score of 60-70 (plain English, easy to read). For technical or academic content, a lower score (40-60) is acceptable. For content targeting a broad audience or mobile users, aim for 70+ (very easy to read). Short sentences and common words improve readability.
How do Open Graph tags help my website?+
Open Graph (OG) tags control how your webpage appears when shared on Facebook, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Twitter and other social platforms. Without OG tags, social platforms guess your title and description, often showing wrong or ugly previews. With proper OG tags including an image, your shared links show a professional preview card that significantly increases click-through rates.
What should I put in my robots.txt file?+
A basic robots.txt should: Allow all search engines to crawl your public pages, Disallow private pages (admin panels, login pages, thank-you pages), and include your Sitemap URL. Use our Robots.txt Generator to create a customized file with presets for Googlebot, Bingbot and AI crawlers. Never block your CSS or JS files as Google needs them to render your pages.
